Kellie Martin, an American film and television actress popular for her role in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the period drama series 'Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series 'ER'. She is also known as the star of her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Martin is the daughter of a department store purchaser and kindergarten teacher began her professional career acting at the age of seven. Her aunt who served as an nanny for Michael Landon's kids was able to help Martin to get her a character in the 1983's show "Father Murphy". Following her graduation at Yale University she began to become serious about acting with roles that she was able to land on the smaller screen as well as on the big. Martin was also a photographer and a dancer. Martin is the mother of two children and is the official spokesperson for Lupus. After her 19 year old sister's passing Martin has been working to raise awareness about Lupus and its symptoms.
